Ugadi Pachadi :
Ingredients:
New Tamrind / కొత్త చింత పండు – 50 gms
Jaggery / బెల్లం – 150 gms
Raw mango pieces / మామిడికాయ ముక్కలు - 1
Neem flower / వేప పువ్వు – ½ table spoon
Bengal Gram / పుట్నాల పప్పు – ¼ cup
Charoli / చిరంజి పప్పు – 25 gms
Dry coconut flakes / ఎండుకొబ్బరి తురుము – ¼ cup
Tymol seeds / ఓమ – ¼ cup
Salt / ఉప్పు – 2 table spoons (to taste)
Khus Khus (poppy seeds) / గసాలు – ½ table spoon
Water / నీళ్ళు – 1 ½ lts
Pot / కుండలు – 2 ½ lts
Making Process:
Clean tamrind in water and store.
Take a bowl and pour the water and store the Jaggery.
Put Chimtapamdu / Tamrid in the pot with filter. Also put Bellam in the
pot.
Then put Tymol seeds (Oma) and
Khus Khus (poppy seeds) (Gasalu) also put in the pot.
Next put Salt, Neem flower (Vepa puvvu)
in the pot.
Next put Bengal gram (putnala pappu), dry coconut flakes,
Charoli (chiramji), mango pieces in the pot and mix.
Offer to god, taste and serve as per taste adding extra ingredients as
required.
