Jahanuma
Jahanuma is a densely populated area of old city in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. It is very huge in area as well. As the name indicates - 'Jahan' meaning World and 'numa' meaning like, this place is world like.
The famous Falaknuma Palace, Falaknuma Railway Station and Falaknuma Bus Depot are located in this area.
Its famously said that Jahanuma was built by the sister of Nawab who built Falaknuma Palace after the Palace was built. Mir Wajid Ali Aejaz, a lawyer by profession and founder of Good Faith High Schools, remains one of the most notable people in this area involved in many social activities irrespective of religion and caste.
The area is densely populated and mostly by Muslims. Hyderabadi Urdu is spoken throughout. There are more than 50 Masjids in the area and comes in Bahadurpura constituency. This area is considered to be greener than adjacent localities and with lot of speedbreakers. The residents of this area are very decent and religious.
