OnePlus’s new Loop VR headset
As a thanks to
Indian fans, OnePlus has decided to give away the VR Loop headset at Rs
1. However, the headset will be available to those who register for it
on Amazon’s Loop VR page.The sale date for the headsets is on June 3 and
June 7 at 12 pm.
Vikas Aggarwal, OnePlus’s India General Manager in a press release
stated the availability of VR Loop headset for Rs 1 to the registered
members at Amazon on June 3, 2016 and June 7, 2016. The Chinese
smartphone maker will be launching the upcoming OnePlus 3 on a Virtual
Space Station, dubbed the Loop developed in partnership with AntVr.
Last year, the company had given away a total of 30,000 OnePlus
Cardboard viewers to users for free. Carl Pei, CEO, OnePlus, explained
that the OnePlus Loop VR headset will be a lot better in contrast to
last year's VR cardboard offering.
This year the company have upped the ante by replacing the cardboard
model with a fully-fledged Gear-styled headset and have made available
around 30,000 OnePlus VR Loop headsets for free on their website.
(However, presently the website states that the headsets are out of
stock.)

The next flagship from the OnePlus stable is reportedly scheduled to
launch in June 14, and the OnePlus is rumoured to be at par with present
rival flagship smartphones with an SD820 chipset, a 16MP camera, 64GB
storage and NFC support. OnePlus3 is pegged to come in two versions: one
with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM; the other with 64GB internal
storage along with 6GB RAM. The devices will either accompany a 3,000mAh
or 3,500mAh battery.
The rumour mill also speculates that OnePlus will now include a
fingerprint scanner in this year’s flagship along with a full metal body
and Oxygen OS operating system based on Android N.
