Ginger

Ginger is a tropical plant that belongs to Ginger family (Zingiberaceae), a plant family that also includes turmeric, cardamom, and galangal.
Ginger is native to India and China.Ginger or ginger root is the rhizome of the plant Zingiber officinale, consumed as a delicacy, medicine, or spice.
